Lake Lowdown

Average Water Temperature: 79.2°F

Water Clarity: 4 Feet

The catfish bite has remained consistent with many reports of fish being caught on meal worms and shrimp. Popular spots include the west side of Lake 3 near the point and the southeast corner of Lake 2. The bass have been hitting on topwater frogs and wacky rigged senkos. Popular spots include the east shore of Lake 5 and the north shore of Lake 1. Our next scheduled stock will take place on Monday, June 22. Lakes 2 and 3 were stocked today, 6/15/20, with 500 pounds of catfish each.

Night fishing is back! Join us June 15, 2020 at 5 PM for our second night fishing event of the season. No California State License is needed, just a Santee Lakes daily permit. Lakes 1 through 4 only. 5 PM to 11:30 PM. A lantern and/or headlight is required, radios will not be permitted, and please remember to pick up your trash. Night fishing will occur the second and fourth Thursday of July and August.

June: 8, 15, 22

July: 13, 20, 27

August: 10, 17, 24

September: 7, 14

Park Hours:

Monday-Thursday: 8 am to 5 pm.

Friday-Sunday: 6 am to 5 pm

General Store closed until further notice
