Bass Are Biting More Actively

Bass are biting actively more towards the shoreline in the narrows reaction baits have bene getting bigger in size bass close to the 4-5 lb. range. Soft plastics seem to be what the bedding bass are going for. The water level went down about 5 feet on Wednesday the 11th of march, but has gradually come back up with all the rain. Crappie are still being caught often near the pump station on live crappie shiners and jigs. Bluegill are slowly bite near docks off of nightcrawlers. Catfish are being caught often near the narrows close to the telephone lines. Carp are being caught often towards the end of the narrows and around the docks.

Bass are biting very strongly close to shore. Reaction bait as well as plastics are doing the best with the bass. Some anglers also had luck with live shiners. Crappie bite is still very good with white jigs, and live crappie shiners. Bluegill is getting more active with most preferring night crawlers.
