  • Stocking: The lake was stocked with 1500 lbs. of trout the week of January 20th. We will stock 2000 lbs. of trout the week of February 3rd.
  • Kids Day! Bring your kiddo to the lake on Saturday, February 8th to fish from our fully stocked kids pond. Kids under 10 fish for free! The time of the event is 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. All children must be accompanied by an adult and will be limited to one trout/child from the Kids Pond until they're all gone. Get here early!
  • President's Day: The lake will be open 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday, February 17th for boating, fishing, hiking, and more. Make a weekend of it and camp at Lake Jennings! We have Tipi and tent sites still available for the holiday weekend.
  • What's the catch? The trout bite at Eagle Point and Eagle Cove remains steady particularly in the morning. Fisherman have reported catching limits in Eagle Cove. If Eagle Point is too crowded, you can usually find a solitary spot at Cactus Patch. The trout catch always picks up in Siesta Cove especially after a stocking. Salmon peach powerbait and nightcrawlers are still working for the trout. Catfish were biting near the T-dock and Half Moon Cove during New Moon Fishing this weekend. The bait of choice was mackerel or garlic nightcrawlers.
  • Conditions: The water temperature is currently 59 degrees. Water transparency is 45 feet. Helix Water District will begin drawing water on January 27th. The water elevation will drop approximately 4 feet towards the end of the month. As you take boats out, please be mindful of changing shorelines.
  • Attention: The floating dock (T-dock) will be closed on Friday, February 7th in preparation for Kids Day on Saturday.
  • If you haven't visited us in the new year, our fishing and boating fees have changed. Please visit our website to review the new fees. Rent a motorboat for the last 3 hours the lake is open for only $20!
  • We now offer military discounts on fishing permits and boat fees for all active duty, guard, reserve, and veterans with proper military ID. Thank you for your service!
  • Just a reminder, dogs are only permitted on Bass Road leading to the campground,  in the campground, and the trails from the campground. They are not permitted on the lake or in the water. Please keep them on a 6 ft. leash and pick up after your pooch. Much appreciation!
  • The days are getting longer and the weather is starting to warm up! Campground reservations are picking up for the spring already. We have some full hook-up sites available beginning mid March. Full hook-up sites include sewer, water, electricity, and start at $44/night. To book your campsite online, click HERE.
  • Have you joined our rewards program at the Bait and Tackle Shop yet? Spend $100 at the Bait and Tackle Shop and receive $10 off your next purchase (equal to an adult fishing permit). Just let our staff know you'd like to join and they can quickly register you with an email and phone number.
  • We love receiving pictures from our fishermen and guests! If you have a picture you'd like to share, please email them to ranger@lakejennings.org and we may feature them in our next lake newsletter or on social media.
