Not much changes here last week, the bass population is still scattered from 10’ to 50’. Drop shooting and jigs have been picking off the deeper fish. The fish holding in shallower water have reluctant to bit and for the most part have only been following reaction baits rain in the forecast will hopefully get the largemouth chewing a bit better. There were a few large bluegill caught incidentally in approximately 40’ of water in the aqueduct arm on drop shotted 4” roboworms. Catfish went unreported.

The bass bite picked up a bit last week, with most anglers reporting dear fishing for the largess, there have been some fish on the bank, but have proven to be tough to catch. Most of the action has been in 40’ to 60’ of water off of main lake points. Jigs, and finesse techniques have been working for the deeper fish. The bass population are still scattered from 20’ to 60’ in main lake areas, and have been challenge to catch. Drop shooting and other finesse techniques have been picking off a few, as well as jigs, and Texas rigs. There are still some silverside minnows up on the bank but the largemouth don’t seem to be targeting these. Panfish and Catfish were absent from the count last week. ...... Read More
