Fishing Continues to be A Little Tough

Fishing continues to be a little tough thrust this past week, bass are primarily being caught jigging spoons, kastmasters, Blade baits or drop-shot in deeper water around 45-50 feet deep. People have been catching a good amount of bass and crappie jigging flat jigs as well at the same depth. There are still plenty of good bass in the shallows though, so be sure to work Football and Casting Jigs in those areas as the bass have been feeding on Crawfish aggressively in the early mornings and afternoons. The bluegill and crappie bite has been incredible recently with most Bluegill being caught on crickets, mealworms, wax worms and red worms rigged with a slip-bobber or drop-shot. The crappie are mainly being caught on small kastmasters, small flat-jigs or crappie shiners. We recently stocked trout 12/4/19 too so don’t miss your chance to catch some.

Earlier in the morning you can find the bass more shallow while they are feeding on crayfish and stray bait fish. But once the sun comes out in full and the air temperature warms up significantly the fish will immediately move out to deeper water....... Read More
