The lake level is coming up. The water temperature is going down and the bass are in deeper water. We have seen some great success fishing for bass using spoons and Senkos, in about 12’ of water. Shiners have also been doing well if used with a small split shot to take them into deeper water. Cat fishing near the body line has produces some nice cats around the 25 lb. range. We have only seen a few Bluegill coming out of deep water as well. The weather is looking good this coming week so come see us. Otay is open Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

Bass fishing has been good for some. It turns out jigging has been the best technique for numbers. One of our regulars that wants to stay anonymous wondered why he had the lake to himself. He said he and his buddy had 29 fish on Saturday and came back on Sunday.
