Another good week of bass fishing, they are chasing huge balls of shad. The quality size of fish are much better. Top water and white jerk baits early the morning and late in the day. You will want to try and match the bait fish. At times during the day you can catch bass in the middle of Otay Arm. Fishing just outdside the tulles can be the most productive. Look for birds hitting the surface and throw a spoon in the balls of bait fish that the bass and Tern birds are feeding on. The bluegill are still getting on rickets, mealworms and red worms.
