Catfish Are Being Found Throughout The Lake

Largemouth Bass are being caught on a variety of crank-baits. The bass gravitate toward structure and bite best in the early mornings and late afternoons.

Catfish can be found throughout the lake. Candle Sichantha of San Diego caught a 10.60# catfish at the South Shore Rock Pile using cut mackerel. Lake Wohlford cats prefer cut mackerel, chicken liver, or dough-bait.

Crappie are being caught in the early morning amongst rocky outcroppings close to shore and by boaters trolling for them. Crappie are most often caught using shiners and a variety of mini-jigs, white ones in particular.
