Trout are still being caught at this late date with limits being recorded in Willow Cove last weekend. Karri Rowe of San Diego had big fish honors for the week with her 6.00# rainbow caught on a nightcrawler near the South Shore Rock Pile.

The bass are active in tight and are being caught on crankbaits, crawdads, and dark colored plastics.

The second catfish plant of the season is due to arrive Friday. Catfish can be found throughout the lake and bite well on cut mackerel or chicken liver, as well as dough-bait. Stop by the ranger station for a dough-bait recipe that works well on both catfish and carp.
Crappie are being caught in large numbers from shore and by boaters trolling for them. They are hitting Gulp minnows, mini-jigs, and live golden shiners. They are being caught from Bass Point to Crappie Rock, and near the West Buoy Line.
