The water is starting to warm up but there are still plenty of trout left in the lake. We had people catch their limit over in Eagle Cove on worms, powerbait, mini jigs, and green rooster tail and more caught their limit on wax worms near the dock and Hermit Cove. Stick to the coves, cast out and reel in some dinner this weekend! Hurry before trout season is over!

Bass have been biting near the dock, in Sentry Cove near the buoy line and over in Shadow Cove on large nightcrawlers.

The bluegill and redear sunfish are on fire! They are hungry for nightcrawlers and mealworms. Try Half Moon Cove or Sentry Cove to catch a few. The redear sunfish sure do get to a nice size. Some over 2 lbs have been pulled out recently!

The catfish are already out and about. Can you believe it's May?!! The Catfish Opener begins May 25th through May 28th. Stay tuned for the full season stocking schedule to be posted soon on our website. Link will be in next week's report.

Looking forward to Memorial Weekend? It's going to be an exciting time. Night fishing will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. because of the holiday. Full size lanterns required after 8:00 p.m. and on Monday we'll be open 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Rental boats are on a first come first, serve basis but you can pre-purchase your permits at the campground if you don't want to wait in line.

Photographers, you still have time to submit your photos for the Spring Photo Contest! The submission deadline is the end of May.

Summer is coming and camping reservations are going fast. Hurry to make your reservations from our website, or call 619-390-1623.
