Top water bass bite has been very good in the morning and also in the evening. If you want to fish in a quiet lake that will produce good numbers of fish, come to El Capitan on Monday's and Tuesday's, you will have the lake to yourself! Mondays and Tuesdays are limited to fishing only. Ask the concessions manager about the evening bite special for the boat and kayak rentals.

During the day the bass are chasing the fry with the top water action being the most productive. Cat fishing is doing well with a couple of fishermen reporting limits.
