We got a report on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from Blacks Beach in San Diego County. Avid angler Steve Ciochetti send in this report about his friend Jeff Crane.
We had a rare catch in San Diego County. Retired Naval Office Jeff Crane caught this nice 4.85 pound Striped Bass (23 3/4 inches long). Jeff caught the Striped Bass while fishing along Blacks Beach. He caught the Striped Bass with Sand Crabs. Jeff said the fish put on a great fight and it is not easy getting the Striper in on 6 pound test and a #2 hook. We still can’t believe it.
