Catching the Spotlight
Kai Chiba caught 2 Bass out of lake 1 while on a recent fishing trip with his Dad. He caught one using a baitcaster with a topwater lure. This was his first catch with this setup. Great job Kai!
Marci Pou caught 4 Catfish during our first night fishing event. One of the Cats was tagged and Marci won a $25 East County Bait & Tackle giftcard.
Travis Koopman from Lakeside caught a Catfish out of lake 3 using mackerel.
Friends Bryan and Gene fished the night fishing event and caught a few cats out of lake 4 on mackerel and chicken liver.
Santee Lakes is open EVERYDAY for fishing!

Lake Lowdown
Father’s Day is this Sunday, June 19th. Surprise Pop’s and take him to the Lakes for some fishing and a BBQ.

California State License NOT required! Just purchase a Santee Lakes daily fishing permit and start catching fish.
Fishing Permit Fees
Adult (ages 16 & older) $9.00 per day
Junior & Senior $6.00 per day (15 & under; 60 & older)
1/2 Price Fishing Days $3.00-$4.50 (select dates)
Extra Pole Stamp (max. 2 poles) $4.00 per day
Junior Bass Pass (15 & under, catch & release)
