TROUTBITE
Last week we stocked 2,000 lbs of Trout and this week we stock 2,500 lbs! The lake has never been more productive!
10% of every stocking are trophy trout between 3-12 lbs. Anglers have been pulling many 4-6lb trout out off of the campground shoreline which is open daily! Check out these two that Logen Siminoff pulled in on Sunday in the inclement weather!
They are biting on kastmasters, inflated nightcrawlers and mostly in shallow water. We would recommend fishing no more than 20ft off shore.
CATFISH AND PANFISH
Anglers are catching surprise catfish on powerbait while targeting trout! They are hungry—If you are looking for catfish, now is the time!
A nice size redear was pulled out of Hermits on Saturday!
CATCHES OF THE WEEK
Chad Gierlich pulled out a 6 1/4 lb trout on a black hookup baits jig on Saturday!
Jed Allsbury brought his son out to Kids Day and caught this one from the kids pond!
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Kids Day was an astounding
success! We had 400+ children out to catch fish, eat hotdogs and make forever memories! We had over twice the attendance at last year’s event and hope next year is double as well! Big thanks to the Lakeside Optimists who helped us manage the catching from the Kids Pond.
We went through so many children that the pond ran out of fish! Our next event with the Kids Pond will be Spring Carnival on March 19th!
