Range

Extremely similar to Common Mahi-mahi but smaller and stockier with a more rounded body profile. The male''s forehead is less dramatically squared-off. Brilliant green-gold and blue coloration. Adults rarely exceed 24 inches and 5 lbs.\n\n

How to Catch Pompano Dolphinfish

Technique

Encountered alongside Common Mahi on offshore trips. Fights hard for its size and is excellent eating. Distinguish from Common Mahi by the stockier body and smaller size.
