TROUT BITE

Thank you to all who came out to the Spring Carnival! We enjoyed all the smiles (and face paint) on kiddos faces as they reeled in a trout from the kids pond. Anglers of all ages were catching Lightning and Sierra bows all weekend! Many trophy trout were pulled from Hermit Cove using Salmon Egg PowerBait and Berkley mice tails. Fishing from the campground shoreline during the week was a success. A 5 1/2 lbs. Lightning trout was caught by Brandon Avalos. 1000 lbs. of Sierra Bows from Mount Lassen were stocked today! Come and try your luck! Share your catches with us by emailing a photo and description to kira.haley@lakejennings.org

FISHING FOR BASS

The lake temperature was 67 degrees on Friday. Ranger Tom suggests using Brush Hog in pearl white to catch bass during spawning.

CATCHES OF THE WEEK

Chad Gierich, Tim Garner, and Tim Booth’s haul of trout weighed over 50 pounds combined— Their largest trout being 7 1/2 lbs. These men caught their limits using Hookup Baits and were fishing from a boat all over the lake! Shaun and Kayden Casison caught this beaut from the kids pond on Saturday! Cathy and Charles Craig fished the Hermit Cove Buoy line from a boat. They caught 3 Sierra Bows in 1 hour using Berkley mice tails.
