How to Catch Round Stingray
Technique
Not targeted but commonly caught as bycatch on bottom rigs in Southern California bays. Handle with extreme care — the tail spine can inflict a painful venomous wound. Treat stingray wounds by soaking in hot water (as hot as tolerable) to denature the venom.\n\n
