Technique
Bottom fishing on sandy flats in bays and nearshore coastal areas. Light to medium conventional or spinning tackle. Guitarfish are strong, surprising fighters for their size. They are edible — the wings and cheeks are prized — and are subject to size and bag limits in California. Check current CDFW regulations.
