Captain Bill Cavanaugh of the Intrepid out of Point Loma Sportfishing in San Diego, CA called in to us today.

We are on the first trip of the season, a 3 Day trip. We took off yesterday morning with a nice load of bait. We are on scene looking at Bluefin this morning. We saw quite a bit of fish and we stopped half a dozen times and still waiting for a bite on Bluefin.

We stayed busy on kelp patty Yellowtail and have around  70 good grade 8-12 pounds on the boat. We have been pretty busy catching Yellowtail. We are hoping this Bluefin is just a time of day bite. We have high hopes for the rest of the trip, weather is pretty good.
