Yellowtail Bite On The Ridge

6-23-2019
Royal Polaris Crew

Hello everyone;

We arrived to our destination at 07:30 hours, we looked around, saw very little sign.  We did manage to land on Yellowtail, a beautiful 25 pound grade Yellow.  We pick up our anchor and started heading south again.  We looked at a few spots, but nothing wanted to bite.  We arrived to the spot that would make our day.

It was first call for lunch, and the Yellowtail must have heard the cook say “First Call For Lunch.”  The bite was on.  We would have 4 to 6 fish going most of the afternoon.  Most of the Yellowtail were in the 18 to 25 pound range, with few going over 30.  The bite lasted for about 5 hours, but we lost some horse power before that time.  It was good clean fishing for quality Yellowtail’s.

We have a handful of first timers, and they did great, not only catching there first Yellowtail, but getting there personnel best.

We will try this again tomorrow, hopefully we can repeat what happen today.  Weather is just beautiful this time of year, with a light breeze, sunny skies, and flat seas.

Not much more to report, until tomorrow, good luck and good fishing.  Team R/p.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8092 to get in on the action.
