Hi Gang,

Today was one of those days you dream of having on a 7 day trip. We awoke to a beautifully calm ocean and we arrived at our destination shortly after breakfast....Alijos Rocks. The water temp had incrreased by 3 degrees since we were here last, 77.5 degrees. We had our wahoo trolling lures back in the propwash by 0730 and our first strike at 0800. Hook up! For the next 3 hours we had very good wahoo fishing. The best method for us today was the wahoo bombs and the guys that worked hard had at it, were very busy. Once things slowed down a bit we looked around for yellowtail and located an area with fish that were 25 to 40 pounds. We landed 3 fish that went over 40 on ther hand scale. Pretty awesome stuff. Come mid afternoon, we tried for more wahoo and had 4 more stops to finish our day. We anchored up for yellowtail at dinner time and guys started catchimg troophy sized yellowtail right away. An amazing day that we couldn't have scripted much better. Looks like we will be doing some night time yellowtail fishing tonight. Life is good.

Wish us luck,
Captain Bill Cavanaugh and the Intrepid Team
