Hi Everyone,

We spent yesterday traveling up the line. Our weather was good and we enjoyed our ride. One of the aspects of fishing on these long trips that stood out the most to me this trip is to always be prepared. I believe I touched on this point at the end of our last trip, but I cannot stress this point enough. Having all of your gear ready for the method that you are fishing is key. Always making sure you're fishing the right size line and right size hook for the application, making sure your line is straight and not curled, kinked, or frayed above your hook, being diligent in picking out a good bait, and always getting a good hook placement for a good bait presentation. All of these points, when done properly and consistently, make all the difference in the world in how many bites you will get, always taking advantage of any opportunity that comes your way. Fishing is fishing and sometimes conditions are not right for the fish to do their thing and feed aggressively. When an opportunity comes your way, you will take advantage of it by always being prepared. We plan on fishing a little later today and then again on Friday morning. Thanks for checking in, Captain Bill Cavnanaugh and the Intrepid Team

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 224-4088 to get in on the action.
