The bass bite is still going strong, with some anglers reporting 40 fish days. Fly-lined plastics, drop shot, Texas rigs, and rip baits were all excellent bait choices. There are silverside minnows on the bank, and in open water, creating some top water opportunities as well. Most fish are in the 1 lb to 2Ib range, with the occasional 4Ib to 51b. fish showing. Bluegill fishing has been fair to good on night crawlers and mealworms fished under a bobber, or on a drop shot rig. Rocky areas, and the backs of coves have been the most productive spots. No catfish were reported to the concession last week.

Senkos, flukes, jigs, rip baits all worked well. ...... Read More
