Catching the Spotlight.

We had a great weekend and start to our catfish season! Lakes 3 and 4 were stocked with 1,000 pounds each over the weekend including tagged fish. Larry (top left) caught the first tagged catfish out of Lake 4. Tony (top right) caught this catfish out of Lake 4. Skyler (bottom left) caught this tagged catfish out of Lake 3. Doeun (bottom right) caught a tagged catfish and left with a brand new rod! All fish were caught on shrimp. There are still plenty of tagged catfish so be sure to come out and try your luck! Our next stock date is scheduled for April 13th.

Lake lowdown.

Avg. Water Temp: 71.2°F
Water Clarity: 3 ft.

This week there have been more reports of catfish on shrimp rather than mackerel. The catfish are schooling in deeper water so be sure to cast towards the middle of the lake. The bass bite is hot right now especially in the evening and early morning. Bluegill are starting to come out now that it is heating up.
