WEEK ENDING: 11-5-17       WATER TEMPERATURE: 69

The surface bite for bass slowed a bit last week, probably due to cooler air temps, although there is still a lot of silver sides on the bank. Largemouth can still be caught on, or near the bank on small swimbaits, rip baits, and flukes. The worm bite is still shut down at the moment. There were some impressive bluegill catches made near the end of the week, led by lake regular Herman Atkins of San Diego, who used red worms to score 'gills to 2lbs. in the Barona arm. Anglers have been spotting some of the lakes giant blue catfish, but apparently were unable to get them to bite.

The Bass fishing has been fair with fish up to 1 pounds.

The Bluegill has been fair with fish up to 0.33 pounds.
