WEEK ENDING:   8-20-17   WATER TEMPERATURE:   82

The bass bite was fair to good last week, peaking on Saturday, with some anglers reporting wide open action on drop shotted robo worms in 30' to 40' of water. Most of the largies are in the 1.5lb to 2lb. range, with the occasional 4lb to 5lber showing as well. There are still quite a few hand size bluegill in the grass beds all over the lake. A red worm, and a bobber  getting the job done on the 'gills. All other species went unreported last week. 

The Bass fishing has been good with fish up to 1.75  pounds.

The Bluegill has been fair with fish up to 0.33 pounds.

Bass fishing was good this past week, with most fish holding in 25' to 35' of water in rocky areas. Drop shot and Texas rigs have been the most consistent techniques. In the early morning hours, there are a few breaking fish in open water. These fish have been difficult to catch. You're better off concentrating your efforts in 25' to 40' with Texas rigs, jigs and drop shotted worms. Most of the largies have been 1.5 lbs to 2.5 lbs with the occasional 4 or 5 pounder coming in.
