Catfish are biting from the T-dock and in Cloister Cove on mackerel and night crawlers. The first catfish stocking of the season is this week with 2,000 lbs!

The Bait Shop is now stocking Bite-ON’s Catfish Mack Baits. These pre-cut mackerel chunks are marinated in a Cajun formula for extra stink. Catfish love it!

Anglers are catching bass along the Hermit Cove buoy line with a Texas rig setup. Both pearl white and dark colored plastic worms are landing fish. Water temperature is 70 degrees.

There are only a few days left to get your candid shots for the Spring Photo Contest! Any photos taken at the lake between March - May is eligible. For detailed information and to download the entry form, please visit photocontest. Submissions due by midnight on May 31st, 2017.

Harold Carter of Lakeside caught 2 trout and a nice slab of bluegill this weekend! He was fishing along the Hermit Cove buoy line with a combination of PowerBait and night crawlers. Volunteer Larry caught 2 catfish with a total weight of 6 lbs. 9 oz. He caught them using the new catfish Mack Baits sold in the Bait Shop. Try them for yourself this weekend!
