TIME CHANGE

Lake hours of operation will change to 6:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. beginning this Friday, March 17th.

TROUT

Trout averaging 3-5 lbs. have been consistently caught the past two weeks. Anglers are catching trout by casting deep into Hermit Cove or anchoring their boat along the buoy line.

CATFISH

Anglers neared limits of catfish at the Full Moon Fishing event this weekend. Catfish were biting on mackerel and shrimp.

BASS

An angler reported catching a bass on his first cast of the morning— bass are biting on plastic worms from Sentry Point.

CATCHES OF THE WEEK.

Armando Acevedo caught a 4 lbs. 2 oz. and a 5 lbs. 12 oz. trout from Hermit Cove with mini jigs.
Jason and Owen Kevane reeled in 8 catfish from Hermit Cove on Saturday night. The largest catfish weighed in at 5 lbs. 8 oz. They were using shrimp as bait.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

This year’s Spring Carnival will be on Saturday, April 8th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m! The festivities will include a reappearance of the Kid’s Pond for children under 10, free paddle boating for the whole family, and an egg hunt. 1,700 lbs. of trout will be stocked for this event.

The lake will be open everyday for Spring Break from April 7th - 23rd. Free private boat launch on Tuesdays, April 11th and 18th!

Best Trout Spots: Hermit Cove buoy line, Hermit Cove.
Best Trout Lures/Bait: Mini jigs Best Bass Spots: Shadow Cove Best Bass Lures/Bait: Drop-shot, swimbaits, plastic worms.
Best Catfish Spots: Hermit Cove, Dam buoy line.
Best Catfish Bait: Mackerel, Shrimp Best Pan fish Spot: Sentry Point Best Panfish Lures/Bait: Meal worms and night crawlers.
