Lake Jennings Fishing Report

Lake Jennings Fishing Report

by Lake Jennings Staff

Thanks to all who came out for Kid’s Day on Saturday— many kids caught their first fish! Trout were being caught on meal worms, green Power Worms, rainbow Powerbait, and night crawlers. Anglers reported catching limits from Hermit Cove and the T-dock. Our next stocking is the week of February 20th with 1,500 lbs. of rainbow trout. Our next fishing event is Full Moon Fishing on March 11th.

Everybody talks about the big bass living under the dock— one was reeled in this weekend! A 10.0 lbs. bass was caught on swimbait near the boat dock (employee confirmed).

The bluegill bite remains steady in Hermit Cove. Anglers are catching panfish upwards of 2 lbs. with meal worms.

Marley Abril, age 3, caught her first fish ever on Saturday with meal worms!
Cain Horne, age 5, reeled in a fish from the Kid’s Pond using a green Power Worm.
Jason Parmiter caught 3 trout from the T-dock on Sunday morning. He was fishing with green Power Worms.

The entire lake will be open on Monday, February 20th for President’s Day. Rent a boat, fish the shoreline, or bring a picnic!
Lake Jennings will be open late for Full Moon Fishing on Saturday, March 11th! The lake will remain open until 10 p.m. for fishing under the stars. A full sized-lantern is required after 6 p.m. Catch the trout bite at dusk or cast for catfish roaming at night. Make a weekend of it by reserving a site at our campground!
