Catching the Spotlight

Happy Valentine’s Day! We had a great week of fishing this week. Jess Ranch planted 1,000lbs. of trout between Lakes 3 and 4. Autum Simon (top left) caught the biggest reported trout this week. It weighed in at 6lbs. 9oz. and was caught on Green Powerbait. Brian Lazeresue (top right) did well again this week, catching a 3lbs. 2oz. trout on Powerbait. Ray Mincer (bottom right) caught his 3lbs. 14oz. trout on Powerbait also. The trout have been coming out of Lakes 3 and 4 pretty evenly and almost exclusively on Powerbait. There are still tagged trout out there ready to be caught. One of Brian Lazersue’s (top right) trout had a tag that won him a $25 Visa gift card! Our next stock will be February 24th.

Avg. Water Temp:59.8°F

The trout bite continues to be consistent. Almost all the trout reported this week were caught on Powerbait. It looks like the bass are starting their pre-spawn routine now. The water temperature is gradually rising and more anglers are reporting a good bass bite. Soft plastics seem to have been the most successful so be sure to bring Senkos or 6in. drop shot worms.
