Catching the Spotlight

The trout bite has been steadily improving over the last few weeks making for some great holiday memories for anglers. Brian Lazarescu (pictured above) caught this monster 9.2lbs. trout out of Lake 3. He caught it on Powerbait on the west side of the lake. Matt Rayburn (pictured left) caught this beautiful trout on a Powerbait/Troutworm combo. He caught it out of Lake 4 and it weighed 5lbs. 12oz. Allison Malunes (pictured top left) also caught a nice trout out of Lake 4. It weighed 2.5lbs. and was caught on Powerbait. Our Trout Reopener will be on January 14th and 15th. Lakes 3 and 4 will be closed to fishing on Friday January 13th to prepare for the event. Lake 2 will still be open to fishing that day.

Lake Lowdown

Avg. Water Temp: 54.3 °F Water Clarity: Averaging about 3 ft. visibility Powerbait is still the bait most trout are being caught on but the trout are biting on a wider variety of colors. This week might be the week to try something a little different when targeting trout.
