TROUT

Trout are biting on PowerBait and inflated night crawlers in Hermit Cove and Eagle Cove.

This week marks the start of 4 consecutive weeks of trout stockings! 1500 lbs. of Rainbow Trout will be stocked this week— including trophy trout! Stocked trout tend to prefer shallow water like in Hermit Cove for the first few days until they have acclimated to the lake.

CATFISH

Anglers were catching their limit of catfish on Saturday night during our Full Moon Fishing event! Catfish were biting on mackerel and night crawlers rubbed in Hog Wild cheese bait. Whether fishing by boat or from the shoreline, catfish did not disappoint. Hermit Cove, Half Moon Cove, and the T-dock were hot spots for catfish limits.

PANFISH

Bluegill are biting on night crawlers and wax worms in Hermit Cove.

CATCHES OF THE WEEK

Shaun Blasé and Chuck Homenick of Mira Mesa reeled in catfish limits from Half Moon Cove on Saturday night! They were using mackerel as bait. The largest weighed 5 lbs.!

Josh Jackson of Spring Valley caught 12.5 lbs. of fish Saturday! He limited on catfish and caught one trout using PowerBait and night crawlers in Hermit Cove.

Michelle and Enrique Nunez limited on catfish in two hours! They were fishing from the t-dock.
