TROUT

2,100 lbs. of Rainbow trout were stocked this past week for Trout Opener! Limits were caught from the shoreline along the boat dock, Siesta Cove, and Sentry Point. Another hot spot was along the reeds off Eagle Point. Location was key. A general rule is if you find one, you’ll find many!

Black/gold Hookup Bait jigs did very well! Other popular baits/ tackle were night crawlers, salmon peach PowerBait, and orange Atomic Teasers. Our next stocking is the week of Nov. 28th with 1,500 lbs.!

CATFISH

Catfish are biting on night crawlers and dough baits along Siesta Point and in Hermit Cove.

PANFISH

The Redear and Bluegill bite was heavy this week, including a report of a limit on Bluegill. Anglers are catching panfish on night crawlers in the back of Hermit Cove and along the campground shoreline.

CATCHES OF THE WEEK

David Corrales of City Heights limited on trout Saturday morning. He was fishing the shoreline beside the boat dock.

Travis Gilmore, David Ruso, and Darius Ngo reeled in a total of 11 catfish using Power Worms and minnows. They were shore fishing in Siesta Cove.

@fishing.bros caught three nice trout on Sunday using lightweight mini jigs!
