Catching the Spotlight.

Opening weekend was a big success for anglers! The Biggest fish of the weekend was an 11.5 pounder caught by Pejmeure Souli (pictured top left). It was caught out of lake 3, which seemed to be the most productive lake out of the three that were stocked. Mike Hirst (pictured bottom left) also caught his 7.8 pounder on lake 3. Other than chartreuse and rainbow power bait, which has always produced fish in years past, the mini jig was the big winner this weekend. Rodney Marquez (pictured bottom right) caught this nice 5 lbs. trout on a mini jig. Though lake 3 had the most fish caught out of it, Lake 4 was a close second. Eva Cody (pictured top right) caught this nice fish out or Lake 4.

Lake Lowdown

Mini Jigs and Power bait have produced the most fish. Chartreuse and rainbow are the favorite color of choice for most anglers. Combining Power bait and a night crawler will give you an edge as well, both items can be purchased at the Park General Store at Lake 5. There are still plenty of fish left in the lakes, including tagged fish!
